Every network creates these kinds of shows, everyone. Why does it always seem like when Fox creates a Drama it is always a parody of this type of show? So many cliches, even down to the music.

It must be hard to go through life so jaded and cynical that one can't even watch a TV show without filtering each and every aspect through SJW glasses, rather than simply enjoying a stellar cast portraying a refreshingly different point of view of the oft done first responder procedural. Anyone who has lived life more than a couple of decades probably knows, knows of, or is related to someone who fits one of these so called stereotypes. Far from parodying, IMO it merely dramatizes what often occurs in real life. One only has to watch the evening news or the morning or late night shows to realize that these days, real life far outstrips any parody or stereotype script writers could come up with. I liked it, and will continue to give it a look see.

The smell of burnt fake plastic is heavy on this one, everything is predictable and forced, from the promiscuous to the gay to the midlife crises mom dying bullshit, to bad I like Basset but not even her can save this show.

I love this show. It's better than Chicago Fire and Swat combined! - It has a much more even keeled Cast and the writing is much better! 5/5

I actually tried working as a 911 dispatcher, and I wish I felt good about going to work like she did. I only lasted one month. You hear the craziest things and it is really emotional. I like this show!

Instant Fav. They have a stellar cast...Angela Bassett and Connie Britton from American Horror Story...Aisha Hinds from Underground..Peter Krause from Six Feet Under & Dirty Sexy Money and Rockmond Dunbar from Sons of Anarchy and Soul Food are great actors. In a strange way, this show reminds me of Six Feet Under in that there were always new subplots each episode while the main plots amongst the characters kept building. This kind of show seems to be suited well for the creators of American Horror Story. This time it is the everyday horrors that first responders deal with. Solid character establishment. I think they may have another winner here.

I was expecting much more stereotyped characters and much less interesting... However, somehow I was pleasantly surprised. Let's wait for the next episodes.

this is funny, because here they have way better equipment as a 911 responder.. In real life however, they are using antiques.

The only way I could get through watching this show/episode is to think of it as a comedy. I can't believe with the supposed talent they have behind and in front of the camera, this is what the finished product turns out to be. I'll give it the requisite three episodes to decide, but oh my this was bad.

The first 1/3 of the episode was trash, 2/3 of it made you wonder why the BLEEP you were still watching it, but the end showed it could possibly have some potential. This of course weighs heavily on if they ditch the wannabe comedy they tried to inject in it and make it a more serious show. Ryan Murphy definitely isn't a Dick Wolfe so I seriously doubt we're going to get something more serious from it like Chicago Fire style for example so I don't really have high hopes for it, but I'll personally watch another episode or two to see if it gets any better. Right now it's more like ''9-1-1: Rejects Squad''.
