O.M.G. One of the most bizarre and wonderfully weird movies I've ever seen. Initially, it's unbearable. The dialogue is just SO stilted and strange - NOBODY talks like these people. The relationships are only mildly interesting, if at all, but gradually one does begin to ask what's going on here? Once rolling, it's HOLY SHIRT!!! WHAT is happening?! Patience paid off for me, but I don't pretend it's everyone's cup of tea. As for what happens, one asks - Is this witchcraft? A curse? Bottomline, it's a morality tale for modern times. Maybe the dialogue is so stiff and unnatural to remind us of the literary origins of these gothic tales. Who didn't read Poe, Shelley, or Bronte in school? Maybe one of our experts here will educate us! Anyway, I warn you it's trippy but I'm very glad I watched this creepy ace movie.

Yorgos Lanthimos creates very odd films. This riveted me with the characters' strange speaking cadence across-the-board. It's intricately woven. I only have one huge problem: who uses MP3 players when they have a brand new iPhone? Barry Keoghan is fantastic, and really SINKS HIS TEETH into this role.

Wow, this is one of the most pretentious and nauseating films I've ever watched. No amount of decent acting could save it for me. The dialog is beyond strange; no one would talk like this. Someone else might like it, I certainly did not. To be clear, this is not a horrible film. If you enjoyed The Lobster, you will enjoy this fim. For me, the primary message was made 30 minutes in and the remaining hour and a half were spent on awkward and bizzare reinforcing dialog. Thank you for the upload, regardless (Also, the quality was quite poor for a HDrip -- I watched version 9 thevideo.me -- just an fyi).

This is for sure one of the most bizarre movies I have seen. It was ominous and tense from the start, even though nothing really happened until late in the movie, and even then, it was not earth shattering. I can't say it was a good movie, although it starred 2 of the best. And I can't say it was a bad movie, even though I was never bored. However, I am not even sure what the whole point of the movie was. If there was a deeper meaning it hasn't yet occurred to me.

This could have been a great movie, but it was to drawn out and way too stiff in the performances. I found myself fast forwarding halfway through the movie because I was getting bored and the Martin character didn't help much. I really enjoyed Farrell in this movie, thank god for him or this would have been a total BUST for me! 6/10

Farrell's performance was solid, and the only reason I continued to watch. Ms. Kidman's role was pretty much the same as her past few turns. Alicia Silverstone's talent was wasted here. The photography and staging provided a much needed respite from the slack-jawed artificially stilted delivery of the most recent boy actor du jour. As each character was introduced to be more pathetic than the others, I am very glad that I did not pay to see this in the theater. No matter what level of experience you might be as a cinephile/movie lover, I cannot recommend this one. Oh, the dog was excellent, but he/she wasn't given enough screen time.

I also found this to be a very strange movie. Aside from the stilted acting, especially by the male lead, I found myself examining Nicole Kidman's face to see her latest cosmetic surgery procedures. That aside, I found it slow in parts, however it kept my interest til the end. The back story could have been fleshed out a bit more, and there are several unanswered questions, but I give it a 6/10 for originality of plot and ethereal atmosphere.

So some obnoxious 16 year old knows about a neurotoxin that seasoned medical professionals can't figure out? And they passed up letting us know what this toxin was and how he came to know about it? I think not answering these questions made this movie feel grossly incomplete, but entertaining nonetheless.

A clever and unusual movie, very disturbing and unsettling to say the least. Deadpan delivery and jet black humour only add to the oddness. Now why can't you find the tooth of a baby crocodile, the blood of a pigeon and the pubes of a virgin when you need them...

Reading all the other comments it may well be that I am in a different boat to many others as far as this one goes. I thought it was absolutely fantastic actually. I was almost ready for the robotic dialogue after watching his last movie, but what really made this stand out for me personally was the cinematography, it was so 'Kubrick-esque', reminded me a lot of 'The Shining'. I didn't lose interest for a second, and I don't think there is any real deeper meaning as such, I'm sure it's just about atonement. This goes straight into my top 5 of 2017.

Another little gem in Yorgos Lanthimos original list of time and space distortions, with improbable realities creating creepy outcomes...or a surreal gallery of still frames events succumbing to life itself....and after Lobster this was the most challenging opportunity( I still like his first Dogtooth as his best achievement though)....great cast but watch out for Barry Keoghan,he is from a superior class of acting with great promises....8/10.

It is very sad to realize that the people who give Tranformers an 8/10, gave this movie a low rating. You have to see Lanthimos' movies from the beginning to understand his unique style. Watch the Dogtooth, Alps or The Lobster and then this. If you just downloaded this by chance then it is obvious that you will never understand the universe thay the director created. Enough said. This is better than the 99% of garbage that the box office offers you. Open your mind. This movie is an experiemce of the soul, not of the eyes. You don't watch it with a bucket of pop corn. It haunts you...

I was mesmerized by this film. It was truly disturbing watching Keoghan's Martin act out the role of a sociopath. I felt quite unsettled by him and really the entire cast since they all were socially inept and awkward. What an amazing talent Keoghan is at such a young age. This is one of those films that can be watched numerous times and one can pick up something different that one didn't catch before. But it certainly isn't for everyone due to it's slow pace and creepy, ambiguous quality. being a big fan of Stanley Kubrick, I see a lot of his influence and style in this movie with lingering camera takes, long shots, wide angles and stark images. It's a beautifully shot movie. I believe the movie is all about the consequences we encounter from our choices in life. The surgeon made one huge mistake that haunted him and his family causing them all to suffer greatly. The film is also about loss and grief and how humans persevere through it all.

I liked this. Odd in a good Kubrick way. Be patient. And wow on this Berry kid. Saw him in Dunkirk just last week. Hope he get's recognized for this role. He effin creeped me out. Uncomfortable to take in at first, but watched it all!

Slow but I like it. Give it a go if you're into psychological horror.

Strange, mesmerizing, and hypnotic film that's best to watch late at night. If you did not know it was written and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, you would swear it was a Stanley Kubrick film. From the wide angle interiors, to the still, symmetrically composed framing, to the slow push zoom-ins, the tracking dolly shots down corridors, the slow motion sequences, and even the operatic music at the end, it's all classic Kubrick. This is a creepy psychological horror story that aims at high art while keeping you off balance with dark comedic moments. I would definitely recommend watching this. 8/10.

I liked it! Yes, the dialogue was strange but you could understand it; it was very proper and stiff, with no emotion. The movie itself was very good but upsetting to me because of what it was trying to convey, imo. In other words, you can't trust anyone, help anyone because they're probably all damaged and dangerous. That's what I was thinking but then again, I watch A LOT of true crime shows. :) Ver. 5 vidzi.tv has excellent audio/video. Thank you to the uploaders!!!
